If you’ve answered “Yes” to any of the above questions, then your next step is to join the 4Running Run Clinic.

4running is a Four Week Run Clinic beginning on March 11, 2020 and is designed to help you take your running to the next level in a way that won’t exhaust or overwhelm you. It consists of only 4 sessions on Wednesdays (March 11, March 18,  March 25th and April 1st) at 6pm. These sessions may be covered by your extended health plan.

4running is joint venture developed by experienced physiotherapist Scott Simpson and certified personal trainer Yana Hempler. The goal of this program is to set you up for success in reaching your running goals. 4running focuses on a combination of  motivation, technique, conditioning, and recovery to keep you consistently running strong and injury-free.

This program is unlike any other run clinic offered in the greater Victoria area and can be done alongside any other fitness program or run clinic that you are currently a part of. Participants who complete the 4running Run Clinic will feel confident joining any other group running program that’s available to them.

For ONLY $79 for 4 sessions, you will receive high quality instruction from qualified industry professionals who are passionate and knowledgeable about running. Space is limited to 12 participants.

About your clinic leaders:

Scott Simpson completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Physiotherapy at University of Western Ontario, having previously completed Doctorate and Masters of Clinical Science (Advanced Healthcare Practice) degrees. He is proud to serve our local community and is committed to providing high quality services with integrity, innovation and energy. Scott spends a lot of time instructing other physiotherapists and doing research. He is an instructor in both the American and Canadian Orthopedic Fellowship programs. Scott has participated in soccer, golf, hockey and baseball at a provincial level, but has excelled in endurance sports, notably distance running. A Canadian National Team member spanning 2001-2010, Scott was the 2006 Canadian National Champion at the 10k distance. His 10k personal best is 29:33.

Yana Hempler is a certified personal trainer, Lydiard Level II certified running coach, and extremely passionate long distance runner who has raced every distance from 800m to ultra-marathon, including Boston, New York and Berlin Marathons. She is a published fitness writer, with work appearing in Canadian Running Magazine, Oxygen Magazine, IMPACT Magazine and many other local and national publications. Yana’s running programs have achieved unmatched results for both individuals and corporations. For over half a decade, Yana has worked with people of all fitness levels, successfully helping clients to significantly improve their race times and increase strength while having fun. She thrives on creating a comfortable atmosphere for runners of all levels in order to facilitate an exciting, learning-filled environment which is both informative and enjoyable.
